Staff Symposium 2003

October 18-21, 2003

Hosted by Outward Bound Canada

Who can participate? All staff (Field Staff to Executives) interested in sharing their ideas and resources with their peers from around the globe are welcome to attend.

What happens at the Symposium? Lots of fun, field-based activities, workshops taught by your peers (or you!), hands on sharing of best practices, cultural events and more. There will also be pre and post conference trainings and certifications available.

Where is it? Next year's symposium will be hosted by Outward Bound Canada at their beautiful basecamp in Ontario, Canada. Chetwynd Base is located 3 hours north of Toronto in the Algonquin Highlands of Canada. Participants will be either camping or staying nearby. Food will be provided during the symposium.

More information? Each school will be receiving a full registration kit at the World Conference and OBC in collaboration with OBI will be sending out periodic updates to schools. A small website will also be created in the next few months.

Presenters Needed: If you are interested in presenting at the Outward Bound International Staff Symposium your school will be receiving a presenter's packet on how to apply. Please refer to this or contact: symposium2003@outwardbound.ca. Presenters will have a reduced symposium fee.
