Job Title: Certification Trainer/Instructor

In the face of difficult economic times in the last few years, Outward Bound Zimbabwe has managed to keep going and maintain its role in the development and personal growth of Zimbabwe's young people. Over this time we have become a little isolated from the rest of the Outward Bound Community, however we are now taking steps to address this and become more involved with the rest of the OB world.

Our team of instructors have shown amazing loyalty and strength of character and we now see the need to ensure their qualifications are kept up to standard. We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to visit our awesome centre for a period of 3 months and help us with this goal.

This person will need to be able to re-certify staff to conduct sessions in rock climbing, abseiling and mountain leadership. Other skills that would be useful would include the ability to teach water safety and basic first aid. We would like to ensure that OBZ staff are OB "certified" to operate in other OB centres.

This will allow us to conduct staff exchange programmes with other centers in the future and give our team the chance to grow as individuals and bring back new ideas and enthusiasm to Zimbabwe's young people.
